Dear San Elijo Middle School Families:

We are delighted to announce the San Elijo Middle School and the Boys & Girls Club of San Marcos partnership for the 2008-2011 school year.  This beneficial partnership will allow us to offer your student a “positive place” after school until 6:00 p.m., following the school year schedule, including early release days.  The fee-based program will include an afternoon snack, sports time, enrichment time, homework time and academic time – the balance that middle school students need to develop the whole child.

Kara Alaimo, Director of Operations, for the Boys & Girls Club of San Marcos, will oversee the program and has been instrumental in working with us to structure a sound program that provides a safe place for your student.  Jonathan Sandoval will be the Boys & Girls Club Site Supervisor and on campus every day to supervise the trained Youth Development Professionals who will work directly with your student.  A teacher will interface with the Boys & Girls Club of San Marcos as our liaison between SEMS teachers assisting with academics.

Ø  Registration information can be found on the Boys & Girls Club web site; we have provided a link to that site http://www.boysgirlsclubsm.org/ or you may access it from the SEMS website.  Enrollment numbers will be limited!

Please join us in welcoming the Boys & Girls Club of San Marcos to San Elijo Middle School and wishing them all the best as we strive to provide a quality experience for your student!

Thank you for your continued support!
