In order to provide a positive and safe school experience for Discovery students, we have many policies and procedures in place. We are a neighborhood school; therefore, arrival and dismissal procedures are extremely important for our student safety. We encourage you to take the time to become familiar with these procedures.
Our commitment to providing a positive and safe school environment can be seen through our character education program, the 7 Habits of Happy Kids, and our discipline policies. These programs and policies build respect for each other along with courtesy and responsibility.
Discovery Elementary is a closed campus which means that all visitors are required to sign in at the school office before entering the school grounds or classrooms. Classroom and teacher visitations are welcomed, but advance arrangements with the teacher are needed. Visitors will receive an identification badge at the office. Please remember to turn in your name badge when you sign out.
