Special Education at SEES

Our mission is to provide a free, appropriate, public education for all San Marcos students, aged 3 years to 22 years, who require special education services.  San Elijo Elementary uses the Response to Intervention Process to monitor students needs for Special Education services.
In order to meet our students needs and to support parents, San Marcos Unified is part of the North County Consortium of Special Education.  The North Coastal Consortium for Special Education (NCCSE) is a dynamic, regional, collaborative special education local planning area whose purpose is to support local school districts as they provide for the needs of special education students.
