Soaring through Math at San Elijo Elementary
Soaring through Math is a sequence of timed math problems. Students have to master each level before moving onto the next. Each grade has a variety of levels. Once the students have mastered the final level for their grade they move into the Eagle’s Nest. The Eagle’s Nest represents complete mastery of basic math facts for the grade level.
Soaring through Math is an incentive program to get students excited about mastering their basic facts to memorization. At the end of each trimester students are publically recognized at Flag Salute and given a charm for making it into the Eagle’s Nest.
It is our hope, here at SEES that by the end of each school year each and every child in grades 1-5 will have been recognized at one of the three Flag Salute’s for making into the Eagle’s Nest!
Listed below are the levels and requirements for making it into the nest. Each grade level gives several tests that review the previous year skills as well as help students build up to the final test.
